The U.S. Olympic mens hockey team hasnt been officially announced yet, but they have apparently set their foundation of goalies for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. According to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press, Jimmy Howard of the Detroit Red Wings, Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres and Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings will the teams goaltenders. St. James also reports that it is expected that Howard will be the third-string goalie in Sochi. The starter is yet to be known. USA Hockey will announce its entire roster on Wednesday in Ann Arbor, Michigan following the NHLs Winter Classic game. Miller was the starter for the U.S. at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, leading the U.S. to a silver medal. Quick, who led the Kings to the Stanley Cup in 2011 with a Conn Smythe-winning performance, has been sidelined since November with a groin injury.
